SASSA staggers payments across the first three working days of each month to reduce pressure on ATMs, pay points and retailers. The standard order never changes — Older Persons first, Disability second, Children's grants third.

SASSA has officially confirmed the June 2026 payment schedule. June 1 falls on a Monday so payments begin on Monday 1 June for Older Persons — the exception to the usual "avoid the 1st" rule because it is a working weekday.

The SRD R370 grant does not follow the same fixed schedule as permanent grants. SASSA processes SRD payments in individual batches during the final week of each month, after completing your monthly verification against SARS, UIF and Home Affairs data.
